Venturer Scouts is for young people aged 14 to 18, offering opportunities for adventure, personal growth, and leadership. It’s a space to meet others with similar interests, develop skills, and take on new challenges.

What do Venturer Scouts do?

• Adventure Activities: Explore the Australian wilderness, camp in different environments, dive on coral reefs, abseil into caves, rock climb, or try kayaking and mountain biking.
• Travel Opportunities: Participate in national and international scouting events, Ventures, Jamborees, and community service programs.
• Leadership Development: Plan and lead activities with guidance from experienced leaders. Gain vocational qualifications in leadership and outdoor recreation.
• Personal Growth: Work towards the King’s Scout Award, which is recognized for its leadership and skill development.
• Social Connections: Meet new people from different backgrounds and take part in large-scale events with a variety of activities.
• Family Involvement: Families can also participate, making connections and contributing to the community.
• Uniform: Venturer Scouts wear a blue shirt with maroon sleeves and a scarf. For most outdoor activities, comfortable and appropriate clothing is recommended.

How to Join
No prior Scouting experience is needed. If you’re interested in new experiences, developing skills, and meeting others, Venturer Scouts could be a great fit.
